The Migraine Disability Assessment (MIDAS) Questionnaire is a simple,
standardized tool used by doctors and patients to measure the impact of
migraines on a person's daily life.
While you might track pain intensity,
the MIDAS Score focuses on something equally important: how many days your
life is disrupted by migraine, giving a clear picture of its true cost.
The primary purpose of the MIDAS Score is to help you and your healthcare provider to:
· Grade disability — objectively classify your migraine disability as Grade I (Little or none) to Grade IV (Severe).
· Guide treatment — a higher score can indicate the need for more aggressive preventive treatment, rather than relying only on pain relief during attacks.
· Track progress — by retaking the questionnaire over time, you can measure how well your treatment plan is working.
